The WW9 running enthusiasts Running Flamingos welcomed spring by participating in several running competitions. The first one was the traditional Winterwaldlauf in Erlangen on March 16 with a distance of 10 km. Even the rather unstable weather conditions could not dampen the team spirit and enthusiasm of our runners.

Winterwaldlauf was perfect preparation for the Obermain-Marathon three weeks later on April 7 in scenic Bad Staffelstein. In what already seemed like summer conditions, our Running Flamingos took part in both the half marathon and marathon, with the marathon in particular being a real challenge with around 700 meters of altitude. Our Running Flamingo Peter even managed to secure the silver medal of the marathon in his age class, and Benni was able to just enter the top 20 of the half marathon in his age class.
Congratulations to all our Running Flamingos and we are looking forward to their next endeavors.
