Congratulations, Dr. -Ing. Dorota Kubacka!
The PhD defence of Ms. Dorota Kubacka took place on 17. Dec. 2021, partly virtual (online) due to the current regulations. With her dedicated work “Diffusion Processes in Compositionally Complex SX Ni- and Co-base Superalloys“, she has been awarded the title Dr.-Ing with distinction. Congratulations, Dorota!
Dorota joined IMN in 2018 to pursue a PhD. Her work has been supported by the SFB/TR103 project. During her dedicated and hard work towards PhD, she has not only continued and extended the diffusion study in compositionally complex superalloys using the nano-diffusion couples approach, but also developed and realized the study of early stages of oxidation in superalloys using rapid thermal annealing. The later work has been recognized in community of superalloys and her contribution has been chosen as “selected talk” in the quadrennial conference, superalloy 2021, the “Olympics” event in the superalloy community.
