Highlights at IMC20 in Busan, Korea
The “Olympics” microscopy, the 20th International Microscopy Congress (IMC20), took place last 10-15.September in Busan, South Korea, after being postponed by a year due to the pandemic. Over 3,000 people attended the grand event. We have met long-lost colleagues and friends during this congress and participated in many talks and presentations with fruitful and inspiring discussions. In this congress, professor Spiecker co-organized the energy materials symposium. IMN/CENEM members presented 3 invited talks and appeared in 8 contributed talks.
During this event, Dr. Mingjian Wu received the medal of “Outstanding Paper Award” 2023 in Materials Science awarded by the European Microscopy Society (EMS) during the a special symposium “25 years of EMS”. Congratulation!
